Notice of Data Security Incident
Despite our efforts to maintain the security of our systems, including the use of safeguards such as firewalls and antivirus software to help prevent unauthorized access, we experienced a data security incident, which we are notifying you of as required by applicable law, including Section 501.171, Florida Statutes.
What Happened
In November 2025, our firm identified that certain systems had been impacted by a ransomware event. We immediately took steps to secure our network, including isolating affected systems, implementing remediation measures, and working with cybersecurity professionals to contain the incident. Based on those efforts, we were able to stop the unauthorized activity and prevent any ongoing access to our systems.
However, on April 16, 2026, we were notified by a reliable third party that a threat actor claimed to have accessed certain firm data. While we have not been able to independently verify the extent of this claim, we are providing this notice in compliance with applicable notification requirements.
What Information May Be Involved
The information potentially involved varies depending on the individual and may include personal information, personally identifiable information, protected health information, and records provided to our firm in connection with legal services. This may include identifying information and documents associated with accounts placed with our office.
What We Are Doing
We take the security of information extremely seriously. In response to this incident, we have taken additional steps to secure our systems and protect the integrity of our network, including isolating affected environments, strengthening system safeguards, and implementing additional security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access. We also continue to engage appropriate IT and cybersecurity professionals and are coordinating with relevant authorities as needed. In addition, we are providing notice to potentially impacted individuals in accordance with applicable statutory requirements, including by publishing information regarding this incident on our website.
What You Can Do
Although we are not aware of any confirmed misuse of information, clients and individuals may wish to consider whether they should take any additional actions.
